The UST Golden Tigresses and the Adamson Girl Falcons boosted their bids within the UAAP Season 85 girls’s volleyball match on Saturday after posting wins over Ateneo de Manila College and College of the East, respectively, on the Philsports Area in Pasig Metropolis.
UST and Adamson each improved to 8-3 for a tie at second place, trailing solely De La Salle College at 9-1. The idle NU Girl Bulldogs are in fourth place with a 7-3 file.
UST bested Ateneo, 25-22, 25-20, 27-29, 25-21, for a 3rd consecutive win. Eya Laure and Imee Hernandez led the best way for the Golden Tigresses with 27 and 24 factors as they knocked the sixth-place Blue Eagles, who are actually in peril of elimination, right down to 4-7.
Adamson, in the meantime, stored struggling UE winless in 11 video games after a 25-16, 25-19, 20-25, 27-25 victory behind Kate Santiago’s 18 factors, spoiling a 27-point effort from UE’s Van Bangayan.
The Girl Falcons will tackle the league-leading La Salle Girl Spikers on Wednesday whereas the Golden Tigresses will return in opposition to the FEU Girl Tamaraws on Sunday, April 23.
