President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. desires the return of the old-fashioned calendar as early as subsequent faculty 12 months to keep away from cancellation of lessons because of the excessive warmth led to by the El Niño phenomenon.
In an interview on the sidelines of the Authorities-Owned or -Managed Companies (GOCCs) Day in Pasay Metropolis on Monday, President Marcos mentioned he has already requested Vice President and Division of Schooling (DepEd) Secretary Sara Duterte to supply a concrete plan on the shift to old-fashioned calendar.
“Properly, after all, hiningi ko ‘yan sa DepEd and requested Inday Sara to present me already a concrete plan as a result of mukha naman hindi na tayo kailangan maghintay pa. At mukha naman kailangan na at I don’t see any objections actually from anybody,” President Marcos mentioned.
“Particularly, with the El Niño being what it’s. On daily basis you activate the information, F2F lessons are cancelled, F2F lessons have been postponed, etcetera. So, talagang kailangan na kailangan na. So, sure. That’s a part of the plan that we are attempting to do to deliver again already the previous schedule,” he added.
Some colleges in most elements of the nation have resorted into on-line lessons to guard the kids from the intense warmth.
President Marcos mentioned resorting again to the previous calendar days “might be higher for the children.”
